Group Reporting Study 2006

[Read the press release]

Objectives
During our consulting assignments across Europe with the Corporate Head Offices of large international groups, it has become apparent that there is much interest from CEO's, CFO's and Controllers in current best practices and benchmarks which might indicate how their organisation is performing the tasks of corporate consolidation, planning, forecasting and reporting and how they compare to other similar organisations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine current best practice in the Group Finance function of large international groups and to provide meaningful, detailed and relevant benchmarks for use by the participants.

The study report, based on 130+ participants, was published in March 2007.

The Seven Keys to Successful Reporting is a useful summary derived from our research of best practices. You can download these Seven Keys by following the link below.

It’s not too late to benefit from participation in the study

Although the published analysis is based on the 130+ study participants at September 2006, you can still participate and receive detailed benchmarks. Your response will be added to the existing database population. You will then be presented with a summary of the results, as well as a copy of your own results, so that you can compare and contrast your own situation with that of the other organisations in the study.

This will help you understand where you are already performing well compared with your peers as well as helping you to identify where your own processes and systems might be improved. It is a perfect starting point to your own Group Reporting diagnostic.

Confidentiality
Your response to the survey will be confidential to yourselves and BPM International. In keeping with accepted ethical practice the survey report will not identify individual organisations in its statement of results, thus the confidentiality of your reply is assured.
